
Perry celebrates his half birthday each year on the day before America’s birthday. Ever since he was a tiny two and a half year old we have asked him the same series of questions on his half birthday.
I am so glad we decided to start this tradition because it is so fun to go back and see the progression of responses has he has grown up and matured.
Over this past year he really has grown up so much. I look at him often and think “who is this big kid and where did my little boy go?!?” In just a few short weeks he will be off on the adventure called first grade.
Without further adieu, here is a transcript of our interview with 6 and a half year old Perry:

A: Perry
(*this one is almost silly now…but oh if you could have heard his sweet little two year old voice say it all those years ago)

A: Six and a half
Q: What color is your hair?
A: Orange with a little bit of red
Q: Who are our friends?
A: Your friends (speaking about mommy and daddy’s friends) and my classmates
Q: Who is your best friend?
A: Madelyn and Jack
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Quiche
Q: What is your favorite drink?
A: Chocolate milk
Q: What is your favorite color?
A: Orange
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Kitty cat
Q: What is your favorite thing to watch on TV?
A: Dinotrux
Q: What is your favorite song?
A: The PJ Masks theme song
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: The Boy Who Lost His Name. Because it is fun and great grandma gave it to me.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do inside?
A: Play with my sister
Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside?
A: Play on my play set
Q: What does your mom say?
A: “Hurry up!”
Q: What does your dad say?
A: “Let’s go!”
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: A science teacher
